Self-Portrait Friday and Red Friday Combined

Oh, yeah, and a little more story about Special Forces Medic training.

The hands-on, performance-oriented training consists of using students as patients while other students practice their skills on them. To try and create a sense of realism, the instructors use moulage to make the wounds look as realistic as possible. I loved the squirt bottles filled with fake blood that the instructors would spray on the patient as the medic worked.

Apparently I had a "wound" on my belly and my right foot and arm.

No, I don't have three nipples. The PMI (point of maximum impulse) is indicated with a permanent marker circle and number 1 under my left nipple. This is the point where my heart beat is the loudest. If this point moves, it would indicate an injury to the lungs.

So, there you have it. My self portrait. And I'm wearing red, sort of, for Friday, you know, to support the troops!

Oh, and I'm mostly naked so it's like Army pr0n but not really.

You like?
